Some more shade loving perennials!

Astilbe is a part shade plant. They thrive in morning sun, and they like to play it cool in afternoon shade! Astilbe blooms during the middle of summer with pinkish flowers.

Goat’s Beard is a part sun plant that does best in 4-6 hours of sun. This plant produces white plumes of flowers during late spring to early summer.

Coral Bells are a versatile plant that can live anywhere from full shade to full sun! This foliage provides a beautiful contrast in your garden!

Did you know we can grow many different fresh fruits and vegetables in our area?

Our area can grow rhubarb which is a great item to add to many baked goods. Grapes can be used to make fresh homemade jelly! Asparagus is great tossed in olive oil with fresh herbs from Burgess’s Greenhouse then grilled! Blueberries grow well in areas with sandy soil. The possibilities are endless with fresh blueberries! Honeyberries are similar to blueberries but better adapted for colder climates! Raspberries are great for fresh eating! Gooseberries provide a tartness that balances well in desserts. Raspberry Splash are a great shade plant which thrives in about 2 hours of gentle sunlight! This plant produces flowers during the spring time.

Our flowers and veggies have been flying out the doors lately (thank you!! 💕), and we’re starting to run low on cardboard flats/trays for carrying plants.

If you have any extras at home or your business that you’d be willing to return or donate, we would truly appreciate it! 🌿♻️ Reusing flats helps us keep waste down and keeps things growing smoothly here at the greenhouse.

You can drop them off anytime during business hours at Burgess’s Greenhouse. Thank you for supporting our small business and helping us keep plants moving to happy homes! 🌼💚
