Smoky Mountain Tree Service is looking for a dependable groundman / labor help to join us on an as-needed basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone who:
• Wants extra income
• Isn’t afraid of hard, outdoor work
• Can show up on time and work as part of a team
• Has a valid driver’s license

Job includes:
• Dragging brush & cleanup
• Assisting climber / crew
• General job site help

No experience needed — we’re willing to train the right person.

This is NOT a full-time position right now, but there is potential for more consistent work for the right person.

Last night/ this mornings storms brought some pretty strong winds through the area, and we’re already seeing some trees and limbs down this morning. If you have storm damage, hanging limbs, or trees that are leaning or look unsafe, it’s best to get them checked sooner rather than later.

Yesterday morning we got a call for a tree on a home and pulled into a neighborhood with storm damage everywhere. Trees down across multiple properties after the winds rolled through.
Our first priority was getting the tree off the house and the roof tarped before last night’s rain. Today we’re back working through the rest of the cleanup and helping neighbors across the street.

Yesterday was a busy one for our crew. We got an early morning call for a tree on a home and arrived to a neighborhood that looked like a small tornado had come through — trees down everywhere.
We started right away on the tree that hit the house so we could get it cleared and tarped before the rain moved in last night. Grateful we were able to help get them covered in time. Today we’re back out finishing the cleanup on this property and then moving across the street to start on the rest of the storm damage.
Storm season is picking up, and we’re doing our best to get to everyone as quickly and safely as possible. If you’ve got damage or concerns from the storms, give us a call or send a message.

We removed an oak and a poplar and finished with a full cleanup, leaving the property safer and opened back up.
We’re already hearing that it could be a very active spring for storms. Taking care of questionable trees now can help prevent bigger problems once the heavy winds and rain start rolling in. With the weather expected to worsen today and ice possible, we want to remind everyone how dangerous icy conditions can be for trees. Ice adds a lot of extra weight to limbs and can cause branches to snap or whole trees to come down without much warning.
We’ll do our best to help as long as conditions are safe enough for us to get out. Your safety and ours always come first. If you notice hanging limbs, leaning trees, or anything that looks unsafe, please stay clear and reach out when you can.
