It's just under a month before we celebrate Tim's life and creations. The garden is starting to green but we could use help with Spring cleanup. Tim's Mom was his number one assistant and is struggling with medical issues. If anyone has an hour or three or four to help, please contact Lori Haugen. Perhaps some fellow Master Gardeners could get credit for anytime spent helping. Garden clubs welcome too! I promised Tim, I would try to keep the gardens growing, but he spent 8 plus hours a day out there. I am unable to dedicate that much time. Text me, message me and we can make some plans. Thank you for considering helping. And don't forget to come to the service on May 17th, 1-4. with readings at 2:00 pm, food and activities to follow.

Timothy Haugen completed his earthly creations and sculptures and has entered his forever garden early Wednesday, February 19 2026. The following is what he asked be shared with all.
Tim spent his life crafting joy. From a successful business making handmade toys that sparked imagination in children, to a flourishing career in the floral industry. He shared beauty through his vibrant designs. In his final chapter, while managing stage four cancer with courage and grace, Tim found solace in nature. He dedicated his last years to creating a garden sanctuary for wildlife, filling it with sculptures he made himself. These creations, like the rest of his life’s work , were testaments to his enduring spirit of creativity. Tim leaves behind a legacy of resilience, beauty, and joy.
Family will be having a memorial service for Tim, in his gardens. This will happen in the Spring. Please check back here or Timothy Haugen page for information as it becomes available.
In his memory, donations can be made to a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center or the Animal Humane Society, continuing his love for animals and the natural world.

Where did May and June go? I spent all Winter waiting for the garden season, and it goes by so quickly. The 2025 garden season is in full swing. The shade garden is really starting to fill in. Over a dozen new sculptures have been added to the gardens. It's time to relax and enjoy for a bit.

About a month away everything will be emerging in the gardens and more planting will be on its way. Happy Earth Day! 🌎🌱🌳

Such beautiful Spring like weather I had to place my newest critters in the garden. I think Chippy and Dee will like their new home. I’ve been busy in the workshop making new sculptures for the gardens. This is the first of many critters made with chickenwire. Chippy is 16” tall.

Squirrel vs. leaf

It’s National Squirrel Day today! Squirrels are natures gardeners. They bury thousands of acorns and nuts every year, but they often forget where they hid them. These forgotten snacks sprout into trees, making squirrels nature’s accidental gardeners.
