Ernst Heating & Cooling Ernst Heating & Cooling has been providing innovative solutions for our customers home comfort needs for over half a century.

Al Ernst first opened the doors to Ernst Hardware in 1951. You could find just about anything you needed at Ernst Hardware from paint to appliances to lawn mowers. Starting in 1954 you could even have Ernst Hardware install a furnace in your home. In 1961 you could get an air conditioner, in 1969 a heat pump. In 1984 you could even get a geothermal system installed, which is what we have become kn

own for. Ernst Hardware has long since dropped the "Hardware" and added the "Heating & Cooling", as well as dropping the paint, appliances, and lawn mowers. But after all these years we still install all kinds of products and provide heating and air conditioning repair, replacement and installation services that keep you comfortable in your home.

For our very first Ernst Comfort Plan Member Spotlight, we're excited to introduce Veeda Fowler, a longtime Ernst customer and valued Comfort Plan member.🧡

After purchasing an older home in 1997, she connected with Ernst and has trusted us with her home's comfort ever since. She and her family have lived in their current neighborhood since around 2008, and Ernst has been part of their homeownership journey every step of the way.

Over the years, Veeda has worked with many familiar Ernst team members, mentioning Roger, Millie, and Mary. Veeda has also worked with various service technicians over the years, but she's found a new favorite technician in Ramon!

Professionally, Veeda works in behavioral health, and in her free time, she enjoys spending time at home relaxing, watching her favorite shows, staying active at the gym, taking walks, gardening, and visiting the botanical gardens.🪴🌷

Family is also a big part of Veeda's life and she loves spending time with her son, Eli, who works in banking and her daughter, Faith, who is currently attending college and pursuing her goal of becoming a teacher.

We're grateful for customers like Veeda who have trusted Ernst for so many years. Thank you, Veeda, for being part of the Ernst family and for allowing us to help keep your home comfortable year after year!🥰

Before the service calls start and the temperatures climb, there’s one important stop to make first... breakfast! 🥞☕🔧

Our awesome service team took some time earlier this week to fuel up before a busy day of keeping homes comfortable across the community. With the summer heat in full swing, these guys are out working hard to make sure your air conditioning is ready when you need it most.

MEET THE TEAM MONDAY 🔧🎸
This week we’re introducing Jesse — one of our installers here at Ernst Heating & Cooling!

Jesse has been with the team for 4 years, and one of his favorite things about the job is simple: no clock watching. Around here, the goal is to get the job done right — not stare at the clock pretending to look busy 😄

When he’s not installing systems, Jesse is usually making music. He plays in a band called A Brighter Side and they recently released their first album 🎶 (so yes, we technically work with a rockstar now).

He also loves spending time with his son and runs on a balanced diet of water, IPAs, and probably gas station snacks on install days 😂 If you’re looking for him after work, there’s a good chance he’s either playing a show or grabbing food at Sugo's Spaghetteria Edwardsville

We’re lucky to have Jesse on the Ernst team — bringing both good installs and good playlists wherever he goes 👏🎤

MEET THE TEAM MONDAY 💙⚽🏡
This week we’re introducing Kris Hall, one of our Comfort Advisors here at Ernst Heating & Cooling!

When homeowners are trying to decide whether to repair or replace their system, Kris is the guy who helps walk them through it all. Basically, if your furnace or AC decides to retire unexpectedly, Kris helps save the day 😄

One of the things Kris enjoys most about working at Ernst is the people and the culture — which makes sense, because he’s the kind of person who makes the workplace better just by being part of it.

Outside of work, Kris is a huge soccer fan. St Louis City SC, watching games, talking soccer… seriously, if there’s soccer on, he probably already knows the score ⚽😄
He also loves spending time outdoors with his wife and their three kids and grabbing food at favorite local spots like Moussalli's Prime and Popeyes Chop House 🥩 But to keep everyone humble, he’ll also happily mix in Waffle House or Jimmy John’s because apparently his restaurant taste ranges from “date night steakhouse” to “give me a sandwich in 30 seconds” 😂

But above all, the biggest milestone in Kris’s life has been celebrating his wife beating breast cancer — something their family is incredibly grateful for ❤️

We’re lucky to have Kris on the Ernst team and appreciate the positivity, care, and experience he brings to our customers every day! 👏

Join us as we celebrate 75 years of Ernst Heating and Cooling! 🎉

We’re excited to commemorate this milestone with a special Ribbon Cutting celebration with the Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce, and we’d love for our community and Ernst Comfort Plan members to stop by and celebrate with us!

🍦 Courtesy Ice Cream will be on-site serving up delicious treats, so come grab some ice cream, say hello, and help us celebrate 75 years of serving the community.

Thank you to our customers, employees, friends, and community for supporting our family-owned business through three generations. We couldn’t have done it without you! ❤️
