What a project! My buddy Mike called and wanted to transform his family’s backyard. The grade behind his house was less than ideal water running toward the house and just a muddy mess with steps from the house down to the mud. So he wanted to add a patio that he, his wife and kids could enjoy. Well a 20’x32’ pad with custom brick and bluestone treaded steps did the trick! Along with a nice storage area for their trash cans this totally changed the look of their backyard. We also cut the joints in the patio so it would give it a paver patio feel without the cost. We had some delays due to rain early on but got it done and it looks beautiful. Also due to the soggy ground and the mess the concrete trucks made I installed 2000 sq/ft of sod to make sure the backyard was ready for their son’s 3rd birthday party!! I really hope they enjoy this patio for many years to come!!

One of the things I love about this house is all the personal touches the homeowners are bringing in. So many antiques, furniture from old saloons out west, old school houses, etc.

This house is sure to be an absolute beauty when she’s done.

I am terrible at keeping up with social media and taking pictures, but here are some photos to show a 5k+ house build we framed and are now finishing out! All tyvek is finished along with some added windows and Hardie plank is being finished up so those updated pictures will come soon. Floors are done and beautiful done by Baltimore Floor Works and we are installing some stained glass windows that need to have custom framed built around to hold them. We also did the kitchen and great room ceilings in tongue and groove pine and are now ready for the custom beams that are going to be milled and built my myself. We also have windows trimmed and doors and have started to install base…stay tuned for when we install the kitchen and build custom floating stairs using the wood beams from the house that we tore down on this same property! A smaller job that we were able to knock out before Christmas. Customer bought a house and started to remodel themselves taking down walls just to find one of the walls were load bearing. We were able to recess a triple lvl beam in the ceiling and wrap the support post to look seamless and smooth. We then added a big beautiful window to allow a ton more light into the main living area!
