We had a very successful final day of sales and a wonderful turn out for our customer appreciation day. I just wanted to thank all of our very loyal customers and friends for the 40 years that River City Greenhouse was in business. It has been a great run and a wonderful final year in memory of brother Tim. Thank you one and all!

River City Greenhouse Customer Appreciation Day - this Saturday, June 1st from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We will have cookies, chips, soda/water to show our appreciation to all our customers who have been so loyal through the years. This will be our last day, after an approximate 40 year run, in honor of brother, Tim Glascock. All remaining plants - annuals, perennials, baskets, shrubs will be "FILL A FLAT for FIVE DOLLARS" - one layer only please!! We also have lots of seed packets for 25 cents to $1 - these can be saved over and used next year - and we will have many new plastic planter pots @ $1 or 2/$1 on the smaller ones. In addition there will be a few yard sale type items - file cabinets, microwave, dorm refrigerator, etc. Come see what we have and have some refreshments! Please bring cash if possible. And SURPRISE - at noon all remaining plants and plastic planter pots will be free! River City Greenhouse - this Saturday - June 1st from 9-2. Located at 53354 Highway HH, Hannibal. Go South on 61 and turn onto HH at Grandview and travel 3 miles. See you Saturday!

Good morning everyone! We are reducing our basket inventory starting today. All annual baskets will be $14 each or buy 3 for $40. That includes many petunia, million bells, ge**er daisy, Swedish ivy, Ibosa, fuchsia, non stop begonia, and more. The tropical Bougainvilla will be reduced to $20. This will be our last reduction on baskets until the final week most likely.....so hoping most of them find a good home! Other reduced prices include: Annuals like Geraniums, Ge**er daisies, wave petunias in black 6" pots now $3.50, Peace Lillies $10. Perennials in 6" pots $3.50. Iris (only a few left) for $8, Peonies $12, Hostas $5, Perennial Ferns $8, Lillies $8, etc. Shrubs reduced to $18 and include the popular sun Hydrangeas, false cypress, lilacs, honeysuckle, and more. Our plants still look great and have been well cared for....all looking for new homes! We do still have numerous new plastic planter pots for sale. AND - are still in business although we heard a rumor that someone told us we were closed! Amazing....we have been there daily!!! Our last date will be Saturday, June 1st. We will be doing something special on that day, so WATCH for it! Hours are still Monday-Saturday from 8:30 - 5:30 and Sunday 10 - 5. Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day! Thanks to everyone who came out over the weekend. It has been great to see a lot of familiar faces! We will be running specials each week until June 1st which will be our final day of selling. We have our vining vegetables for $1 in a 3" square....several cucumber varieties, pumpkins, squash, watermelons, zucchini, etc. Also on our $2 table we have several types of celosia, small Boston ferns, perselene (rose moss family), asparagus fern, etc. We will keep adding to the table as it clears. We will reduce the price of the $5 annual pots to $4 today - several types of petunias, geraniums (NO SEED ONES as we don't carry them), Ge**er daisies, New Guinea Impatiens, etc. Annual baskets will be $16 starting today and small 6" perennials will be $4.50 starting today. Keep watching! More items may be reduced later this week! Thanks again for everyone's patronage. It has meant a lot to us all!

Watch out for our sales!!! We have a variety of our small white pots for $2 now - includes coleus, sweet potato vines, asparagus ferns, vinca vine and more....one entire
long table full! Our annual baskets are now $18 or if you buy 5 they are $16 - includes petunia baskets, million bells, ivy baskets, bacopa, non stops and more. Hostas are now $5 with numerous varieties available. Our Proven Winner shrubs are reduced to $20 - we have Hydrangeas, Lilacs, Shrub Roses, Honeysuckle, Weijela, Mugo Pines ($10), False Cypress, and more. AND we have probably over 1000 planter pots ranging from $1-$20. You will be amazed!!! Our hours are 8:30 to 5:30, Monday through Saturday and 10 to 5 on Sundays. Planning to stay open until the end of May. Our hours will be 8:30-5:30 Monday through Saturday and 10 am - 5 pm on Sundays. Thanks to the community for supporting us through this difficult time. We have lots of annuals, bushes, garden seed & plants and perennials. In addition we have many, many new plastic pots for planting. Come on out!

River City Greenhouse will be closing this afternoon (Friday, April 5th) from 2:30 p.m. for the rest of the day for Tim's funeral. We will reopen Saturday morning by 8:30 a.m. We appreciate all of the kind words and comments from family and friends. This past week has been a whirlwind of activity getting things done at the greenhouse and helping prepare for Tim's last season. It has helped SO much with the grief to know how much Tim meant to everyone with all of the kind words and deeds. Thanks so much to all! We will keep posting about items for sale and hours, which may be shortened a bit here and there, until the end of May. Thanks so much family and friends! RIP brother, Tim.

Sad to say that my brother, Tim Glascock, owner of River City Greenhouse, passed away suddenly last Saturday morning. He had been working diligently to prepare for the 2024 selling season. The greenhouse will remain open tentatively through the end of May as we have hundreds and hundreds of baskets prepared, hundreds of pots of annuals, all of the garden etc items to sell. Please come out and support Tim's business that he dearly loved and worked his heart out for - over 40 years worth.
Tim also coached numerous softball teams in the area for many, many years and helped several young girls get scholarships.
These were Tim's true loves - the greenhouse business and his ball teams.
RIP brother, Tim. We all loved you.
