Hey everyone! 🌷 Today, I want to talk about the importance of foraging and passing down this skill to younger generations. As a farmer and urban homesteader, foraging has been an essential part of my life for over a decade. It allows me to connect with nature and the environment around me and provides abundant fresh, healthy, locally sourced foods.
Foraging is a skill that has been passed down from generation to generation for thousands of years, and we must continue to teach it to our nieces, nephews, children, and grandchildren. By doing so, we are not only preserving a valuable tradition but also equipping the next generation with the knowledge and skills they need to live a more sustainable and self-sufficient lifestyle.
So, I encourage you to give foraging a try. Whether in the city or the country, plenty of wild edibles are waiting to be discovered. And if you're already a forager, please pass on your knowledge and expertise to the younger generation. Together, we can ensure that this valuable skill is not lost to time. 🍄🌿

Ruzycki Farms is proud to announce our FIRST Farm to Table Dinner at Ruzycki Farms April 25th, 2020 with Chef Shannon Smith of Tulsa, Ok. This Farm to Table Dinner will be a fundraiser for Ruzycki Farms, so that we can purchase a produce delivery van for the purpose of continuing to deliver Farm Fresh Produce for FREE to the ederly and disabled. We have done this every year for the last 12 seasons but this last December we were forced to park Emily's vehicle. With so much loss from the 2019 season, we haven't been able to replace it and will not be able to replace it on our own before the 2020 season. We also have a flower delivery van that we will be raising the funds to help fix so that we can begin delivering flowers safely without worrying about them being damaged during transport. Please stay tuned for more info on our Farm to Table Dinner!!! Tickets will go on sale this week!!! This is going to be a PHENOMENAL, ONE OF KIND, Farm to Table Dinner!!!
