Lately there’s been a lot of new faces here, so maybe this is a good good time to put this out there.

I don’t really believe the best homes are the most perfect ones. I think they’re the ones that feel connected to the people living in them. The ones that tell their story.

A lot of my work happens somewhere between instinct, texture, light, functionality, emotion, and paying attention to the little things most people wouldn’t notice. Slowly watching a space come to life will probably always be my favorite part.

Currently layering this mountain project together piece by piece and obsessed with how it’s coming alive.

Cathy and her husband have stopped into the shop a few times now, and every time it turns into one of those conversations you don’t want to end — good stories, good perspective, and a real love for the arts.

Her work reflects that. It’s grounded in western life and living history, and the level of detail she captures — especially in faces — is something you don’t see every day.

What I appreciate most is that nothing feels forced. She paints what she sees, what she’s lived around, and what she genuinely connects to. There’s a lot of passion and love in it.

Her pieces feel right at home in spaces that have a little soul to them, over a bed, in an entry, above a bar — anywhere you want something that actually means something.

She’s also incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and just a really solid business owner, which makes having her work in the shop that much better.

We have a selection of Cathy’s pieces in the showroom right now, and she does offer commissions if you’ve ever wanted something more personal.
