We’re kicking off the holiday season tonight with the First Annual May’s Custom Homes employee family Thanksgiving! 🍁

Tom the Turkey 🦃 has spent most of his day on the pellet smoker after soaking in his bird bath for 24 hours, and he is looking mighty good for the guests arriving this afternoon! 😋

We can’t wait to serve and feed some great homemade food to the people that help keep the wheels turning each day.

Loving this custom kitchen! 😍 Especially the pantry cabinet with roll out shelves!

🚨 NEW BUILD ALERT 🚨

The homeowners prepped the ground on this themselves and had the foundation completely ready for us.
October 1st we put the floor system on this new build and within two days had all exterior and interior walls up. 💪
Windows and exterior doors followed, as well as siding!

We actually worked so far ahead of ourselves, we’re waiting on trusses to put a roof on next. That hasn’t happened before, but practice does make perfect! And we’re always trying to perfect our processes.
With a little break, we took the homeowners to Lima Lumber Brick & Block to plan out kitchen use and finish options. 🏡

🏡 Orchard Island Cape Cod passed Inspection to proceed to pouring slabs ✅

🏡 Bluffton build has foundation walls filled with stone and ready for slabs, and existing attached structure is currently getting new sheeting. ✅

🐄 Lima cattle barn is moving along great ✅

We’re currently finishing up a foundation for a large cow barn we’re building in the Lima area. And of course taking on a bathroom remodel here in the next few weeks.

A little progress update on our current farmhouse Barndominium reaching the finishing stage! 🏡

Upgrade, upgrade, upgrade all over in this new build. 😍

Exterior upgrades include…
- Snap lock standing seam metal roof
- Flat textured seamless vertical metal siding
- Special order porch exterior doors with black trim and double side lights
- Black frame windows with grilles
- Electric for soffit accent lighting
- Electric for porch ceiling fans

Coming up for the interior..
- Installing custom stained finished trim

We’re in the final home stretch and pushing to finish up! The best stage is happening now.. when ALL the things start coming together and the spreadsheets and plans all start coming to life.
