When my BFF showed off her 'new' old kitchen, I had to know her secret.

So, a bit of background: I've lived in this older West Hartford home for about 10 years. Love the charm, HATE the kitchen. Seriously, it's straight out of the 90s, but not in the cool, nostalgic way.

One day, I was over at my friends place just hanging out. She's got a house as old as mine but had just revamped her kitchen. I was expecting the typical "new room" feel, but it was... different. It looked fresh, yet every bit of the old kitchen's story was intact.

With my third glass of wine in hand, I asked, "Okay, who did this renovation?"

She said, "Hartford Home Renovations"

Hello my name is Renato Montero and I'm the owner of Hartford Home Renovations. I wanted to write this short introduction since our company is still relatively new to Facebook.

First and foremost, I just want to say that my Connecticut roots run deep.

Born and raised here in Hartford, CT I come from a family of general contractors. My father started this business back in 1992 and in 2017 my brother and I took over as principal owners.

Because we're also local homeowners in the Hartford/New Britain area, our commitment is to the families of this community, not just the bottom line.

We were raised here, our children will be raised here, and hopefully their children will be raised here as well. And because of this, we plan to play a big role in the development of this community.

So, I got a story for y’all. Jane W. is a homeowner that lives in New Britain and has been having mobility issues the last few years. She has an outdated bathroom that’s quite literally a hazard zone for her.

Worn tiles, slippery floors, a tough-to-enter tub, and very little space to move around.

She'd been wanting a renovation but was scared about the process and how much time, chaos, and money it would cost. Then one day, BOOM, Facebook ad: "Hartford Home Renovations - $1,000 off bathroom remodels." Figuring why not, she calls them for more information..

Renato, the general contractor show up for an in home consultation, gives the bathroom a once-over and was like, "Yeah, we need to fix this up." Jane's on board after a few days. Keep in mind, living through renovations ain't a picnic, but Renato and his team are top guys and assured her it wouldn't long.

They even found a minor problem with one of the wall structures once they started the project but they were able to fix it without blowing her budget.

When it was done,Jane got a fully refreshed, modern bathroom (see pictures below). A few weeks in, she called Renato saying how the renovation not only made her space look better but also made her daily routine smoother, especially with that new walk-in shower.
