🌱 Our Workshop Was a Beautiful Success!

This past weekend we hosted our first Soil Blocking 101 Workshop here at Serenity Hill Flower Farm, and what a joyful day it was.

Guests gathered around the greenhouse tables to learn the art of soil blocking — a simple, sustainable way to start seeds without plastic pots. Together we mixed blocking soil, pressed perfect little blocks, and planted trays of seeds that will soon grow into beautiful flowers and vegetables.

There is something truly special about watching people discover a new skill with their hands in the soil. The greenhouse was full of curiosity, laughter, and that quiet excitement that comes with the beginning of a growing season.

Each guest left with their own tray of soil blocks and the confidence to start seeds at home — and we left feeling incredibly grateful for this wonderful community that continues to grow around Serenity Hill.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this inaugural workshop and helped make it such a memorable day. We can’t wait to host more gatherings like this in the seasons ahead.

Whoo hoo—it worked!! 🍁✨
We made our very first batch of maple syrup! After collecting around 30 gallons of sap, we boiled it down into almost a half gallon of glorious maple syrup. Cheers to new learning, sweet rewards, and the joy of trying something new!

Hello, Spring! The Equinox Has Arrived 🌸
Today marks the Spring Equinox—that beautiful moment when day and night are nearly equal, and the earth begins to tilt us back toward longer, brighter days. It’s nature’s way of saying… we made it through winter.

In 2026, the Spring Equinox falls on March 20th—and here on the farm, we feel it in everything:
✨ The softening soil
✨ The first brave green shoots
✨ The chorus of birds returning
✨ And the promise of a new growing season

From this day forward, the light lingers a little longer each evening… and our fields begin their quiet transformation into blooms, color, and life.

At Serenity Hill, the equinox always feels like a fresh chapter—one filled with hope, beauty, and the joy of watching something grow. 🌷
