Larry was very happy to help Jon and Kensington Concepts compete the “H” for Hastings High School. It looks great, Hastings is an amazing place to live!

I’m not sure where to start except WOW! This H with the Saxons has been in the works since 2019. It was the third phase of signage that was proposed and planned for last year, then 2020 hit, and obviously COVID-19 putting some challenges in the way for the last 7 months.

It might be hard for you to really grasp how large that H is...it’s 12’ tall😳 Jon cut the entire thing by hand.
He then welded the edges, brackets and braces on the back. It’s was made as two very large halves. His workmanship on this is awesome.
The Saxons was cut in two large pieces on our plasma cutter and then welded together. The main sign has been powdercoated and Jon finished the yellow edge by hand. He has an incredible attention to detail.

The projects for the Hastings Middle & High Schools have been a labor of love for Jon. He’s learned a lot, has dealt with challenges but loves that he’s doing something to improve the school we graduated from and that our children attend.

So in our last two months when we said we couldn’t take orders, he never stopped working. He had to get this done. He has worked many evenings and weekends on these projects and is happy to wrap them up 😉

Big thank you’s go to my stepdad Chris for helping Jon today & Larry Bennett for assisting with his crane so that they could safely get it up there.

A couple of weeks ago we had the opportunity to help finish things up at the YMCA of Barry County. It has been such fun watching the process the last 8 months.

Another storm has done some damage in the Hastings/ Barry County area. Larry Bennett and his guys have been working hard since early yesterday morning. If you are in need of their services please leave a message and Larry will get back with you as soon as he is able.

Bennett’s Crane Service is not just for trees anymore. We have become quite busy helping builders set trusses along with a number of other things.

0ur very own owner and operator, Larry Bennett, successfully completed crane school. He will be taking the state exam in the next month to become certified in crane operations.

Our crane comes in handy for many jobs. Picking up and setting a fiberglass pool into place. The pool weighted 6000 lbs.
