Slowly coming out of our summer haze over here. ☀️
It’s been a fun summer but a long one, and quite honestly, a challenging one at times. I’ve felt a constant tug between several worlds: wanting to embrace the sunshine, slower days, and the idea of summer relaxation, while also making sure our kids, clients, projects, and business are all getting what they need. Never really being able to fully turn any one of those things off.
Summer always seems to move at its own pace around here. A little less structure, a lot more juggling, vacations squeezed in, projects moving forward behind the scenes and somehow September arrives before we’re quite ready for it.
We’ve been a little quieter on Instagram lately, and the truth is, we just couldn’t squeeze one more thing in. Sometimes something has to give. But as we head into fall, we’re excited to be back here more regularly sharing what we’ve been working on, bringing you along for what’s ahead, and hopefully keeping you inspired along the way.
Starting with this special project. 🤍
We took a small, closed-off kitchen and dining room and reimagined them into a more open floor plan that truly works for this family. The goal was to make the spaces feel connected and layered without feeling too coordinated or “matchy-matchy” allowing each room to still have its own identity within the larger open plan.
This one was special for a lot of reasons, but mostly because our clients trusted us, relied on us, and saw the vision. That kind of trust is what allows a project to become what it’s meant to be. And getting to work with Mcgonigle Builders again was an added bonus.
So, we’re back. Back to routines, back to the studio, and back to a very full season of designing beautiful homes.
