Another beautiful renovation in the books. We went all in for this laundry room. We installed new Maytag appliances, luxury vinyl flooring, properly insulated the walls, installed a new baseboard heater, removed the drop ceiling, installed new sheetrock in its place, installed new butcher block counters for folding clothes, installed wall to wall cabinets for plenty of storage and more.

My wonderful client was in need of new decking for 2 decks on her property. She chose to go with maintenance-free composite decking that would last a lifetime. In particular, we installed TimberTech's newest color, reclaimed chestnut. Additionally, we installed the decking on top of the rails to use as a drink ledge during parties and on top of the flower beds surrounding the main deck. One set of stairs was rebuilt due to carpenter ant intrusion and subsequent decay.

It was my honor to once again provide great value to my clients and help beautify my neighborhood. My client had previously gone through countless contractors prior to our meeting but was unsuccessful. Many of the "professionals" she met with either didn't answer her calls, follow up, or provide her with a contract.

This front porch was original to the home and was in need of some serious TLC. Not only were the origional porch boards present, but there was a layer of interior 2 1/4" oak flooring installed perpendicular to the original boards. The interior flooring they installed was beginning to rot and become home to carpenter ants and termites. Luckily, the termites were only living in the top layer and did not make it into the substracture.

My client chose to go with timber tech in antique leather. Decking was installed with trex hideaway clips for a uniform and clean finish. We also removed her wrought iron hand rails and replaced them with fully composite white vinyl that are insect proof and maintenance free.

The heat wave did not stop or hinder our production ☀️😎
We knocked this out for our clients in 5 days from demo to completion. Empowering them to focus on what's most important, family 👪🧡

My clients reached out and had some questions regarding the conditions of their columns. They were looking for pros and cons between sanding and refinishing them vs. installing new ones. Upon inspection immediately, i observed the paint showing something called alligatoring and is a key indicator of lead paint. They decided to go with the maintenance-free option of prefinished fiberglass columns. These colums add great curb appeal and are rated for 10,000 psi. And i must say they look great while holding the weight 💪😎

The skilled trades are a fantastic way to bypass the need for massive debt. In fact the trades will pay you while they teach you a high demand skill. Not only will you make good money but you will have the honor of serving your neighbors and your community! The skills gap is widening more year over year. The principals of supply and demand dictate that with shrinking supply of skilled work are resulting in higher demand for that skill.

Many high school grads may be pushed into a four-year degree but drop out. Meanwhile, high-paying jobs in skills-based occupations sit empty.

Another flawless renovation!
For this project, we had two bedrooms that had old plaster walls in a turn of the century center hall colonial. The walls displayed stress cracks from settling over 120 years, which is not uncommon. The walls and ceilings were also not insulated, had exposed k**b tube wiring, and origional windows and doors. We changed all that by getting everything fully up to code with the electric, properly insulating the walls and ceilings, new windows, and doors. New led high hats and ceiling fans, new luxury vinyl plank flooring, and best of all, we got them immediate equity in their home and better resale value.

Here at Fiorilla's Carpentry LLC, i take great pride in our quality of outcome and attention to detail. We hit the nail right on the head with this one. My amazing client had been previously taken advantage of by a local company that went to great lengths to take advantage of her. I put an end to all of that by writing a report for her attorney regarding all of the work that was done that violates local building codes, breached contract terms, materials other than discribed in contract used on the job, multiple real fire hazards with shotty electrical work, as well as the job not being permitted by the municipality. At the end of the day, she was compensated for her damages, and we did justice to this basement and to the area code, respectively.
We fully gutted her basement from the work of the old company, pulled our permits, and started the renovation process. Now, she has one of the nicest basements we've done to date. High-end lighting includes led halo night lights/ high hat combos, 100% waterproof vinyl floors, a fully rebuilt staircase, and very high-end grecco-roman style columns to name a few features from this project. Best of all, not only has she built the value of her home substantially, but she has no problems with resale due to lack of permitted work.

*This is why it is so important to VET your contractors!*

Request the contractors license number and verify they are in good standing with the state, ask for a certificate of insurance, have a very detailed contract, etc. These are some ways you, as the homeowner, can protect yourself from predatory people posing as professionals.
