Helping out my buddy Tom who is Barefoot Flooring. He got a new van , and wanted shelves for his shop at home samples. A fun project, almost there.

Removing old built in place,‘poured solid inside with concrete steel bucks for fire doors. After cutting , I peel back the steel and demo the concrete inside with sledgehammer, chisel and demo hammer, then remove the rest of the steel which is locked in place by concrete. This takes about 2.5 hour so far , another half an hour of grinding down the concrete smooth to accept a new steel door buck. It take about 2.5 hours to set the new buck attach the door then about an hour to install the locket and door handles, another 3 hours for a new threshold and to drill and install weatherstrip and door sweep. All and all I can get the door out and new one I. And locked in one day then return with fresh arms and hands to handle all the weather strip, saddle and possibly a door closure. Not my favorite thing to do , but I’ve cut a few hours off the whole process over a few doors. Welcome to construction.
