Making progress toward May 1 opening day! Filling up the grow house (shade house) with new plants! Echinacea (coneflower), yarrow, hosta, pollinator attractors… and more!

If you’ve visited Evie’s Backyard Nursery, you will remember the shade house. This is the original 16x16’ structure.

Well, I’ve tripled the size! It’s now 20x40’! Not quite finished. Stay tuned for progress.

More space for more plants, and protection for customers from the hot sun with 50% shade cloth!

Cockscomb (Celosia) bloom heads $2-5 depending on size and quantity purchased. These unusual blooms that feel like velvet can be dried by hanging them upside down in your basement or closet for 2 weeks. After they are dried, they make a beautiful arrangement. The color lasts for months, and they give you hundreds of seeds for you to grow your own next spring.
