Tektura Studio How it started /2020

A year of change, growth, and reflection of values, on all levels. People are constantly evolving.

Embracing these shifts and with the opportunity to redefine the important aspects of architecture that needed the most focus, TEKTURA studio was created. The studio was designed with flexibility in mind, both in our product and for its contributors. Residential architecture will always be at our core, but it remains important to reserve room for experimentation & growth, for research, and to delve

into other aspects of the built environment. Our environment and the way we live and work has and will continue to change. Our "people first" approach keeps us grounded and growing as we navigate these changes together. Our breadth of work demonstrates a commitment to each individual client versus a specific style. As designers, we respond to our client's needs, the demographic, the context, historical significance and our current times. We enjoy collaboration, with both our clients and consultants, and even with other architects as we search for the best ways to solve problems.

Some moms are hard to please. Mine likes “projects,” but chocolates would be so much easier!

All our favorite materials in one place — wood, stone, and metal.
This Clifton poolhouse was designed for gathering, relaxing, and celebrating. It echoes the character of the main home while creating its own sense of retreat.

A glass wall opens up to connect the indoors with the pool deck, turning the space into a seamless extension for entertaining without disrupting the privacy of the main house. With its own indoor/outdoor kitchen, guest suite and plenty of room to lounge, it’s ready for year-round enjoyment.

From falling apart to a family dream home. 🏡✨

What started as an investment property turned into something far more personal. The bones were there, so we kept the foundation—and then reimagined everything else. By adding a second story, opening the floor plan, and bringing in space, light, and air, this once-crumbling house became the perfect fit for its owners’ real lives and future.

Here is how a brick rancher became St. Paul: a tailored, modern home designed to maximize value, function, and joy.

Groveton is all about turning home into a retreat.

Phase one creates a new owner’s suite with the comforts of a boutique hotel: a built-in wet bar, a fireplace, and his-and-hers custom dressing rooms. And lets not forget that spa-like feeling—this light-filled bathroom combines dual vanities, a soaking tub, curb-less walk-in shower... and the little details for everyday luxury.

Follow along as we design places that are worth lingering.

Introducing The Yellowstone—a modern farmhouse that gets it right in all the ways that matter.

This architectural style recalls the ease and groundedness of life a little off the beaten path. It’s about more than just form—it’s about feeling. The Yellowstone leans into those roots with clean gable lines, natural wood accents, and a deep front porch that signals welcome and simplicity. The home sits comfortably in the Maryland landscape, designed to feel as if it’s always belonged.

Inside, the layout is tailored to real life—open, light-filled, and designed with everyday rhythms in mind. It balances comfort and clarity, tradition and intention. The materials are warm, the proportions are right, and the result is a home that feels both timeless and completely personal.
