8 Signs of a Reputable & Trustworthy Contractor
Contractor responds to your call, text, email, Facebook message within 24 hours. If not communication between you isn’t going to be good throughout the rest of the project.
Their business is licensed with the state in which they are currently working. Should be able to provide their business license number. If they can’t they are likely working illegally.
Contractor should be able to give you references @ least 3 customers within the last 60 days.
They should be able to provide a certificate of liability insurance. If anything goes wrong with the project the contractors liability insurance will cover the property damage.
Contractor is able to answer any questions related to your project. Yes some research may be need to be done for your specific project.
When the contractor tells you a price he or she should stand behind it. Meaning they wouldn’t discount you just because you ask for a lower price. However, they may be able to get you a more cost efficient price with lower quality materials.
Experience is key ask a contractor how long their company has been in business.
Contractor provides you with a time frame in which they can complete the project. You don’t want your contractor moving in with you.
