GA/FL Irrigation Expo 2026 will be held June 10, 2026 (8:30AM-2:30PM) at the UGA Vidalia Onion and Vegetable Research Center (8163 GA-178, Lyons, GA 30436).

The University of Georgia and the University of Florida Extension Services are partnering with local RC&D councils and Soil & Water Conservation Districts to host a new agricultural expo focused on irrigation. Experience live demonstrations, including blue-dye tests, pivot uniformity, and micro-irrigation for freeze protection! Over 25 irrigation exhibitors will also be on-site, showcasing a wide range of irrigation products and knowledge.

Topics include: Landscape Irrigation, Solid Set Irrigation, Center Pivots, Drip Irrigation.

The first 200 preregistered attendees to enter the gates will receive a free GA/FL Irrigation EXPO hat while supplies last.

Jeff Davis County Extension Office along with Ocmulgee Outdoors is hosting a Hay Production and Cattle Economics Meeting on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Jeff Davis Fairgrounds located at 122 Kirkland Still Rd, Hazlehurst, Georgia. Make plans to join us!

Featured speaker will be Will Secor, UGA Extension Livestock Economist.

Georgia Pesticide Credits will be offered.

REMINDER: Don't forget to "Save the Date" for these awesome 4-H Summer Activities for 2026!

Senior Center Bingo: For rising 7th-12th graders, held May 28, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. and June 29, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. Meet at the 4-H Office and travel to the Jeff Davis Senior Center to play bingo with senior citizens. Build your portfolio! Cost: FREE

Cooking Class: For ages 9 and up, held at the 4-H Office, on June 23, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Make yummy nutritious snacks! Cost: $10.00

Movie Day: For ages 9 and up, held at the 4-H Office, on June 25, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Enjoy popcorn and a movie! Make a dirty soda or Boba drink! Cost: $5.00
