Pool Owners: For those of you DIY's, remember, as it rains your pool is getting filled with water AND phosphates. YES, Algae Food! Phosphates enter your pool through various avenues: Source water, wind, rain, etc. But I have found that rain is the biggest contributor. You will want to have your water tested and treated before the temperatures start increasing. If you don't treat it before the Algae eat it you're gonna have your hands full.

Just a reminder for you do-it-yourselfers....

We just had quite a bit of rain. Rain is very acidic and therefore often dramatically lowers your totally alkalinity which in turn affects your pH. In the long run, unchecked, you will surely cause damage to your plaster. This is a process that takes place unseen, so not many pay attention to it. Many pool guys don't even test TA. Make sure you get this stuff tested.

Hemet Businesses: Time to step up!

Due to a recent apartment fire in Valle Vista, 3 families have been left with nothing. This would be a disaster even if it weren't for the holidays.

As business owners and leaders in our community, we have a responsibility to our neighbors. For this reason, as a way of encouraging businesses to help out, Hemet Pools will donate $100 for every business that don
ates $500 OR MORE to help these families. (Up to $1000).
