One of my favorite things to do is salvaging a piece of furniture and restoring it. This piece started as a huge bookcase and desk set her dad made her as a child. When their house burned we salvaged what we could of the wall size shelving. This beautiful stained bookcase was the result of the rebuild/restore. The best part was giving her back a piece of her history!

There is something so intriguing about exposing the wood grain with a little stain. This natural pine piece was refinished with an antique stain and wax. Each line or wave gives the piece it’s character and a simple stain allows the wood’s true beauty to shine through!
