โI donโt like ants.โ ๐ โ The Peebs
One of Paulโs favorite tricks is soaking scraps of wood or cotton ballโs in a borate solution, then placing it in areas where ants, termites or other wood-destroying insects are likely to find it. The insects feed on the borates and carry it back into the colony, helping spread the treatment beyond the original bait source.
Borates are also a great preventative tool during construction. Many homeowners use borate treatments inside wall cavities, on framing members, and in other concealed areas before everything gets covered up. Some even apply borates around cabinet bases and other locations where pests commonly travel.
This is one of those old-school, practical tips we picked up from Paul Peebles that every homeowner should know. Watch the reel to see how it works. โ๐ป
