There is color and life back the Fun in the Sun Gardens. From now until end of June peak bloom time. You are invited to come visit. I prefer you come in small groups - I will not have one day for all. Message me here to schedule a time. If you want to experiment with me providing a box lunch or box brunch outside under the trees,
Let me know that also - will provide prices at that time. These pictures were made yesterday.

Nostalgic day - Allison was born on Noel's birthday. Will try to tell our story quickly. OBGYN doctor offered to induce her on her father's birthday - couldn't make up my mind - finally called the offiice about 7:30 (at least one hour later than he said I would have to be at hospital) and, of course, they would not take me. About 10:30 went to beauty shop for hair cut. And, in fact, went into labor - pains a bit under 4 or 5 minutes apart. Noel came from Nashville and we returned to Nashville with him running every red light and driving as fast as he could - what speed limit? He was hoping to be stopped and maybe get police es**rt. Not a sighting at all. Dr's office did not believe I really was in labor but pulling some trick, I guess. They told me to come to office first. I did - they quickly started pushing my bed or whatever I was in as fast as they could down the hall to the delivery room- slapping a gas mask on my face as fast as they could - still trying to tell them that wasn't enough for the pain so out comes the needle - next thing I knew we had a baby on her father's birthday. For 50 years we have had fun arguments between them as to who's time was it for the birthday. I have enough done on her memorial garden that we will meet there tonight to wish her happy birthday in heaven. I love you Noel and Allison - happy birthday.

Things have been quiet in the garden for many months. And might have been quiet forever. You may think this weird, and that is ok. But, one day, I was going outside with no desire to do anything. Then, this thought hit me. It was like Allison was standing beside me and said, “Mom, go on and do what you enjoy”. And for that reason alone, I went to the gardens again.

This Saturday, the 27th, I will have a booth selling my succulent arrangements at the First Methodist Church Craft Fair. It’s 9 to 3 with many types of crafts for sale. This is a first for me and quite uncertain about my prospects- please stop by to say hello.

This is just a little ad/info about something coming up late October.

First Methodist Church has what they call a Craft Fair Extravaganza each late October. This year it will be on October 27. For the first time ever, I am renting a booth and will have succulent arrangements for sale and will include directions on how to care for them. Please come by to see me. These make great gifts if you happen to need one right away.

October issue of Indian Lake Peninsula Living should be out in a day or two. I have another article in it - about the ILPC gardening party for ladies and the senior adult June luncheon - with pictures. I just send in a number of pictures and they decide which ones to use.

Hope it turns out well.

To friends who live on the Indian Lake peninsula: please check your mail today for the publication Indian Lake Peninsula Living. Then go to page 14. This is the first of just a few monthly articles that I will be doing called “What’s Happening in Fun in the Sun Gardens” - short article and pictures from our gardens.

Next month’s article will be about Indian Lake Peninsula Church’s garden party for ladies and senior adult luncheon held in our yard in June. It will include pictures from those events.I have sent in quite a few pictures that they will choose to print - hope they can get in most of them but doubt it.

This is a lot of fun to do - just hope I can do it well enough that people enjoy reading.

Two mornings straight one or two ladies have come just to walk through my back yard.
Gradually people are learning that walking through the gardens (here or other gardens) can calm the mind, straighten out twisted thoughts, open communication with the Lord.
You are welcome here.
