I honestly find this post to be such a disappointment, that instead of using this as an opportunity to educate the public about an invasive species, and its impacts to local ecosystems, the Conservation Commission is promoting it. Use this as a teachable moment, you're the Conservation Commission, for ****sake. This area is FULL of invasive lupins, used as a tourist attraction, which is incredibly problematic, and encourages people to want to plant them, not knowing they are harmful. Unfortunately, invasive large leaf lupins are not only contributing to the loss of native sundial lupins, but our state butterfly (the Karner blue), which is endangered, because invasive large leaf lupins are pushing out the native lupins. Karner blues rely on native lupins as a host plant. We are losing both, because of invasive lupins.💔
