You bought the land a while back. You drive past it most weeks and think, one day.

Here's the thing nobody tells you about one day: it starts with paperwork, not concrete.

Soil and perc testing. Drain-field design. The well. County permitting. None of it moves faster because you're in a hurry, and all of it has to happen before anybody breaks ground. Get it going now, while the ground's still easy, and you're not sitting around waiting on it come spring.

Closing day out in Kensington Creek on Friday.

There's a strange quiet in a house right before the keys change hands. Everything's done, nothing's moved in yet, and it's just sitting there waiting on somebody.

Well, now it's got somebody. Months of decisions, a lot of site visits, and about a hundred questions later, this one's home.

When people ask us for a single-level home, they are usually picturing something small. Most are surprised how spacious they are!
