As the end of her terrestrial adventures draw near, we are so thankful to you all for caring and allowing us to share some of the most joyous times of our lives. Reflecting as we peruse the pictures of our days on the road we are so grateful to have had this time with her and to have given her a multitude of smells, sights, and sounds. We will miss you dear girl, we send you in to the sunset, and will feel your energy in every rock, grass, flower, and everything else on Earth.

So, seven years ago we were adopted by the sweetest 7 year old dog. She had been returned to the shelter for being "too chill", sleeping, and never barking. Well, it was totally their loss because we got the best girl ever. We have traveled, taken adventures, and eaten lots of cheese and snacks, but we have to send her on her last adventure. Tomorrow, our dear sweet Patches will cross the Rainbow Bridge to see her brother Jake, and meet her other siblings, Sampson, Beck, and Kidu. I know they will welcome her with open paws but we're going to miss her so freaking much. Maybe she gave you some love at the store, are one of our friends from the road, are her family, or someone from Nebraska. Whoever you are, if you were lucky enough to know her, she loved you. If you'd like to send love to her, we will definitely share those with her. And, thank you for loving her, she is pretty darn special and we will always be forever grateful for our "too chill" dog 🐕

But, in the meanwhile, please know our feed for the day will be a flood of Adventures with Patches. Enjoy and hug your fur babies as much as possible.

Native vs non- native, why does it matter? Well, here's the deal, native plants are meant to grow in your climate, using less water and becoming acclimated easier to the conditions. But, wait, there's more. You may find native wildflowers that grow in many different regions but if you buy seeds from somewhere other than your region, those seeds might not like it. That's why we source our wildflower seeds locally, and our favorite is Borderlands Nursery in Patagonia. This amazing place collects seeds from the area and packages them on site. We also like Native Seeds SEARCH from Tucson. So, buy your seeds local, and if you want us to do the work, buy our plants when they are ready! The picture is what we are growing now so keep watching our page for additions.

Grief is strange, you're just going about your business and then a smell, or sound, or something else triggers a memory of your lost loved one and you fall apart. But that's OK, because our love for them doesn't die with them. And, the cool thing is, now their energy is all around you and in everything you do. We honor those we have lost by growing life, knowing that their energy and love is in each and every one of the seeds we plant. So, let the rebuilding begin, because we do it with the comfort of our loved ones right beside us. Thank you all for your support as we build a dream.
