Saw a professional gutter installation crew fabricating seamless gutters on-site and had to capture the process. 👀

I wasn’t affiliated with the crew or the project — I just thought viewers might enjoy the satisfying sounds and behind-the-scenes look at how seamless gutters are made right from the work van.

Two different cat door installs in one video! 🐈🚪

In this Mr. Fix It Tips episode, I show how to properly install:
• A cat door into a 6-panel hollow core interior door
• A second cat door through an insulated laundry room wall into the garage

One of the biggest tips in this project is properly positioning the template before cutting. On the hollow core door, I carefully align the opening so the cutout looks clean and doesn’t interfere with the molded door panels. The manufacturers made this much easier by including paper templates for accurate placement before cutting.

This wall unit also includes removable security panels to keep pets inside, prevent unwanted animals from entering, and add another layer of home security when the door is not in use.

Concrete repair is more than just slapping on new cement. In this Mr. Fix It Tips video, I walk through the proper way to repair a damaged driveway curb by using a concrete bonding adhesive, hydration techniques, and feathering methods to create a cleaner and stronger repair.

I also demonstrate:
• Why concrete should never be mixed too soupy
• How hydration improves workability and bonding
• Removing trapped air bubbles
• Feathering edges to avoid chunky-looking repairs
• Using bonding adhesive correctly for better adhesion

🚨 Front stoop separating from the house?

This is a common issue caused by water erosion, settling, or even pests tunneling underneath the concrete. In this Mr. Fix It Tips video, I demonstrate a preventative maintenance method that may help slow further deterioration.

🔧 Process includes:
✔️ Filling deep voids with expanding foam
✔️ Building small caulk dams
✔️ Applying self-leveling sealant carefully

💡 Pro Tip: Self-leveling sealant is VERY thin compared to normal caulk, so avoid overfilling the gap.

Spotted lanternfly nymphs are emerging in massive numbers right now, and this backyard branch was absolutely COVERED with them. In this video, I show what appears to be 50–100 lanternfly nymphs crawling on a single branch and explain why homeowners should act NOW before these invasive insects mature and reproduce.

A single spotted lanternfly egg mass can produce up to 50 lanternflies, making early intervention critical in slowing their spread. One of the simplest methods to help reduce their population is physically squishing the nymphs before they reach adulthood.

⚠️ Just remember — these little pests can jump fast.

If you’re installing a Lutron dimmer switch, don’t forget to adjust the hidden master control dial BEFORE putting the wall plate on.

This small adjustment allows you to customize the dimming range for:
✔️ LED bulbs
✔️ Incandescent bulbs
✔️ Halogen bulbs
