Not every view comes easy.

This one was earned—four stories up, standing over the Currituck Sound with 300 feet of pier stretching out into the water and nothing but blue skies overhead. At the time, I was installing gutters, working for someone else.. I remember stopping for a second just to take it in.

I always liked heights—not for the risk, but for the perspective. When you’re up there, everything slows down and you can see just how far things can go.

Fast forward to now. Building Forge Thirty-Three Construction LLC from the ground up. Same work ethic, same appreciation for the craft. Just a different view.

Growth doesn’t always look big in the moment—but one day you look back and realize you climbed a lot higher than you thought.

Ever wonder how exterior window trim is protected from rot?

Here’s a timelapse of custom metal wrapping being installed over wood trim. This process seals the wood from rain, sun, and moisture while giving the window a clean, finished look.

Every bend and cut has to be precise so the metal sits tight and sheds water properly.

Small details like this are what make the difference between a repair that lasts a few years and one that lasts decades.
