I will be doing a Plein Air painting demo at Planting Fields Oyster Bay, NY 10 am-1 pm for Independent Art Society (IAS) Free to attend. (Near Rose Arbor) remember sunscreen your own chair and water. I'll also be at The Firefly Gallery in Northport NY on Thursday 11am..-2:30 pm.

Morning coffee with watercolors, Minis. Just sharing a few minis I did last month on one of the most beautiful morning so far this year. First day having coffee on the porch. Because of the holiday almost zero road noise coming from the highway a mile away.. birds chirping daffodils and Bloom. Looking forward to the annual spinning of the eggs.

Kirk is a fantastic, charismatic veteran of over 61 plein air competitions & invitationals including (SOTTPA 21,22 & 23) recognized with over 199 awards; 11 Awards in 18 months from Plein Air Magazine Salon. Winner “Best Nocturne” Shadows on the Teche Plein Air 2021. Featured in Fine Art Connoisseur, Plein Air Magazine, Outdoor Painter and Southwest Art. Some of his most rewarding work is as a Volunteer with non-profit group Splashes of Hope, for 20 years, painting murals and scenic ceiling tiles for hospitals, VA Veterans Centers, children's treatment centers and women shelters. A well-known speaker, demonstrator, workshop teacher, his method accelerates the learning curve in art regardless of medium or subject matter.

"a record turnout with entries from very talented portrait artists throughout the country! Sixty eight artists submitted one hundred eighty three artworks for jurying. Of those submitted works, sixty two were accepted into the exhibition."
The show will be up from March 17-April 24th
