Behind every polished image is thoughtful prep, a crew of more people than expected, thoughtful styling, set up, models, hair, makeup, tools. And plenty of "extras" for just incase moments.

On hot summer days staying fed and hydrated while surrounded by a great crew makes all the difference. Especially when bringing Christmas In July to life on set.

Details that tell a story. The subtle hint of color brought in with a whimsical touch of greenery. Layered books and pottery elements that have a touch of character.

Keeping it simple allows the eye to absorb elements in threes.

What starts as an empty/ clean slate and becomes a story driven moment.

This Hotel Roanoke tree project began with a clear vision and a color theme "RED." I focused on scale, color and texture brought in through intentional placement. Every piece was chosen to create a corner of a room with pieces that feel cohesive.

Stepping back and refining based on what everything looks like from afar and also zoomed in helps when placing items into the space. Step back, adjust and refine.

There is still time to see the trees. On display until Jan 1st.

Styled for Bernhardt's showroom.... Floor to ceiling draperies soften the back drop in this setting to create a layered, tailored setting. They add depth with quiet drama without competing.

The bed styling approach is clean with neutral linens and subtle texture. A tonal palette of soft taupes, grays and natural materials keep the space cohesive.

Excited to share my tree for this year's Fashion for Evergreens at The Hotel Roanoke. In the courtyard I created a vibrant, and cozy vignette. Wander the display through New Year's Day, enjoy the beautifully styled trees, and card your vote. Grouping vases with varying shades of is one of my favorite ways to create a focal point. When selecting pieces I like to mix sizes, shapes and textures. I think smooth glass beside matte ceramic, tall silhouettes next to round.

Variation gives interest and a color story ties it together.

Mixing elements sets the tone.

A gleam of metal, the warmth of wood, and wild, foraged foliage. Each adds its own texture and story. I always add a touch of whimsy, something playful and unexpected to keep it interesting.

It’s about balance, surprise, and letting the materials tell the story.
