Drip Faucets: Keep a slow trickle running to prevent freezing.

Boost Heat: Set your thermostat 2–4 degrees higher than usual and keep it constant.

Circulate Air: Open cabinet doors under sinks to let warm air reach pipes.

Exterior Prep: Disconnect hoses and shut off interior valves to outside spigots.

Know Your Main Shut-Off: Locate your main water valve now. If a pipe bursts, shut it off immediately and drain the system from your lowest faucet.
