Dolby Atmos propone algo diferente.

WSDG has been invited to present at the Jornadas de Tecnología Constructiva: Industria y Academia, a two-day event hosted by the Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño at the Universidad Católica de Córdoba (UCC). The invitation came through Arq. Santiago Viale Lescano, Titular of the Construcción en Seco I & II and Métodos Constructivos I & II chairs, whose firm, VJV Arquitectura, is based in Córdoba, Argentina.

Taking place September 8–9 and opened by Arq. Matías Dinardi, Dean of the Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño at UCC, the jornadas bring together leading construction industry companies and academia for a shared program of talks and exhibitions on current building technologies. Founded in 1956, UCC is Argentina’s first private university and the only one in the country entrusted to the Society of Jesus, today serving more than 10,000 students across eleven faculties.

WSDG’s session will address advanced-year architecture and urbanism students, along with professionals invited by the faculty, exploring how acoustic design principles inform contemporary construction and building technology decisions from the earliest stages of a project.

How do you modernize a 122-year-old concert hall without losing its acoustic soul?
The Kursaal Engelberg—a landmark 1902 performance venue in Switzerland—faced exactly this challenge during its recent expansion and heritage restoration.

WSDG designed acoustic solutions that preserved the hall's celebrated sonic character while accommodating new operational demands: full isolation for a connecting hallway, a compact technical control room for audio/video/lighting, and upgraded sound reinforcement and HVAC systems. The result: a fully modernized cultural destination that honors its historic identity.
