🌿 An Update on Our Summer Hours & Season Finale! 🌿

As we head into the beautiful mid-June days, we want to let you know about some upcoming changes at the greenhouse as we prepare to wrap up another wonderful season.

We still have some herbs, vegetables, and annuals left at 40% off so come quick before they are gone for the season.

🗓️ Right Now through June 14th:
Our regular hours are still fully in effect! Come see us during our normal times this week. Monday- Sat 10-5 and Sunday 10-3

🗓️ Beginning the Week of June 15th, we are down to 4 days a week.

Thursday – Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Sunday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Father's Day is June 21st. Stay tuned as we have some great specials just for Dad we will be announcing next week.

🌸 After June 28th (Our Last Day of the Season):
Sunday, June 28th will be our final official day of the regular greenhouse season. However, we are still here for you! After the 28th, we will be open by appointment.

If you need last-minute fill-in perennials, beautiful hostas, or bagged mulch, rock, and dirt to finish up your summer landscaping projects, we are happy to meet you at the greenhouse!

Looking to add some dramatic structure and undeniable elegance to your shade garden? Meet one of my absolute favorites: The Feathervane Hosta.
​This isn't your average hosta. It is a magnificent, upright specimen that commands attention, eventually reaching an impressive 34" tall by 80" wide!
​Why I love it:
​The Foliage: It features massive, elongated leaves (up to 17" long by 8" wide!) with deeply impressed, tightly spaced veins that give it a unique, feathery texture.

Tomatoes are a brand new variety for us this year in 1 gallon pots normally $5.50 marked down to $4.99. Super sauce is a large easy to peel, nearly seedless meaty tomato, great for sauces. Growing up to 2 lb and reaching 18 to 20". Big Mama is in indeterminate which produces fruit all summer. ​Starting this Sunday May31, we are kicking off our "Hosta of the Week" feature at Hillsboro Hosta & Greenhouse!
​First up is the stunning White Feather Hosta (20–24").
​If you’re looking for the perfect addition to your shade garden, this is it! Its unique foliage and incredible decorative potential make it a standout. The leaves emerge a breathtaking, creamy white in the spring as they open. Over the following weeks, they beautifully transform into a green-and-white striped pattern until becoming completely green.
​Greenhouse tip: Because these unique plants have less chlorophyll, they grow slowly and gracefully, reaching their full glory by midsummer, followed by fragrant, funnel-shaped lavender flowers blooming right above the foliage.
