Hi neighbors,
We are working on a massive new project over at Bountiful Gardens, and we need a specific kind of local expertise. For years, Bountiful Gardens has been your destination for plants, but the time has come for us to grow something much bigger: our community. We are thrilled to announce our expansion into a full-scale educational farm club. With technology and screens completely overwhelming the younger generations, we feel a deep responsibility to lead by example. We are opening our gates to teach families the 'lost arts' of human self-reliance—from growing our own food to building with our hands—so our children can reclaim their independence from the digital grind.
We believe our society is losing the basic human skills of self-reliance. We’ve become a culture that just throws things away or hires out every single repair because we never learned how to use our hands. Soon, we’ll be offering courses to teach local families and kids how to grow food, forge tools, and fix their own homes.
But before we teach the community, our core team needs a Masterclass.
We are looking for retired (or semi-retired) carpenters and contractors, or lifelong handymen who actually know how the physical world works. We want to bring you onto our Garden Centers, we now have 4 including our new Ringoes location on Route 202, to teach our farm staff the fundamentals of carpentry and home repair so we can build out our community curriculum while rehabbing our structures along the way.
Who we are looking for:
*Someone who spent decades working with their hands and understands the "old ways" of doing things right.
*A patient teacher who gets excited about showing younger folks how to properly swing a hammer, frame a wall, fix drywall, or hang a door.
*Someone who wants their lifetime of knowledge to be passed down to the next generation, rather than fading away.
This would be a paid gig. We promise good coffee, fresh farm air, and a team that is incredibly eager to learn from your experience.
If this sounds like you—or if it sounds exactly like your dad or grandpa who is bored in retirement—please send me a Direct Message or drop a comment below. You can also email me at [email protected] Let's get to work and build something that matters.
