Before & After - 1960’s Airline Barney Kessel
This restoration of a started as someone else’s abandoned husk. A severely warped neck was planed and stiffened with carbon fiber rods. The dripping mess of lacquer had to be stripped away and areas where the laminate was sanded through were patched before applying new color and finish. Original wiring and k***s sourced, new trapeze and tuners added, custom bone nut carved, and new P90s installed (unfortunately, the original “tissue box” style pickups would have cost close to $500 to replace!) Custom rosewood pickup rings were crafted to compliment the guitar’s lines.

Before & After - Strat transformed
This MIM Strat had a case of sticker blight but the real mess was the fretboard - like weathered barn siding. New frets plus lots of filling and smoothing to get the rosewood in shape made it playable. Add in a new set of Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups, a custom bone nut and a proper setup and the transformation to classic Strat was complete.
