UPDATE - ON FOSTER!
This is Mitch, a British Labrador born near Memphis, Tennessee. He’s seven years old, a sweet, gentle soul—and he needs a home.
Mitch was found injured in a ditch in Jasper County, South Carolina after being hit by a car. He had an FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery and now needs regular exercise to rebuild muscle in that leg. He also came to us extremely underweight and heartworm positive. PLEASE FOSTER OR ADOPT! We will handle all medical.
Mitch comes from a very special bloodline developed at DuckHill Kennels, founded by Mr. Robert Milner who were devastated to hear what had happened. They offered to take him back immediately, but we told them he could stay here locally and we know there is the perfect home!
DuckHill has long focused on breeding and training dogs for gundog work, scent detection, and disaster search operations. They specialize almost exclusively in British Labradors, prized for their natural hunting initiative, calm temperament, and exceptional trainability.
Mr. Milner also designed DuckHill as a place to innovate and refine training methods for these working dogs. One of his key goals was to reduce the use of force in dog training, replacing it with operant conditioning and positive reinforcement techniques—methods that respect and build on a dog’s intelligence and willingness to work.
Mitch is a product of that philosophy a smart, affectionate, who’s had a rough turn and deserves a second chance. PLEASE SHARE!!!
