Regrade the yard to prep for the new deck. Dug and poured in 36” deep footers. Cut in new drain tiles under the deck to collect any water run off. Trenched in a conduit for future electrical. Added w**d barrier and pea gravel the deck. Framed the joist at 12” O.C. with joist hangers. Installed the new composite deck with a picture frame boarder. Then added in the “half wall/hand rail” to close in the steps. Finished with a little more dirt work to get a final grade and added seed and straw.

Got a little something started today. We had to take out around 6” of dirt and topsoil to grade out for the future deck....

Got a little something started today.
We had to take out around 6” of dirt and topsoil to grade out for the future deck. We got the layout prepped, footers poured, w**d barrier down and pea gravel down. We even did a little regrading on part of the yard the homeowner needed done. We needed up hauling off probably 12000 of excess dirt and topsoil. We will be back tomorrow, weather dependent, to start the framing,

There are days you feel inspired. Days that feel overwhelming. And then there are days that put all the pieces in place to let you know… it’s all worth it! This is just one of those moments when you see this fence just come to life! To define the space and this style has such beauty that it makes all the hard work worthy! An amazing backdrop, amazing lines, and amazing finish! 4’6” (+/-) convex cedar scallop picket with a 6’ cedar dog ear privacy along the back. The homeowner asked for extended posts heights to allow for future post cap details to be added in the future.
Everything turned out stunningly! We are so happy with the results and the way it just feels perfect in this space.

When you build an absolute stunner and build it the way the manufacturer specs it to be built, you know you have something built with quality, craftsmanship and precision. The smiles and joy was overwhelming. As we worked on this fence we could hear the children looking out from the windows saying , “oh wow, that’s awesome.” And even “wow… look at that!” Then, as the homeowner stepped outside with the biggest smile and a big glow of joy… hearing her say, “the kids absolutely love it! They kept looking out the window just saying how beautiful it is…” and she loves it too! That’s what it is. The smiles and joy that come from building something beautiful that this homeowner will enjoy moving forward! This was the second of two jobs we finished today and it was a great day for us all.

What a super exciting day. Two more jobs completed! This is one of two for the day. This homeowner now gets time to enjoy a backyard. To come home to a safe space, to come home to a backyard where you can relax and enjoy the evening. Watching the kids play and the dog run… We have built this beautiful 6’ wood privacy with all those visions in mind!

All of them where 4’ tall picket fences.
I got pics of two and forgot to grab pics of the third job. But we were on a roll getting things done. Tomorrow we will finish up two 6’ tall privacy fences so stay tuned for those pics.

What a challenge. We got to this job knowing we’d have some things to work around with the entry and slope and bushes. After spending time dancing around the drain tiles, tree roots, gas and power lines we got things all finished up. This will be a super cool, beautiful convex picket fence and in the back it will be a 6’ privacy fence. It will set up amazing with the landscape and highlight all the beautiful arborvitae and trees.

And the first of two projects we got underway on this lovely day. Time to enjoy the sun for a while and get things movin...

And the first of two projects we got underway on this lovely day. Time to enjoy the sun for a while and get things moving along on the installs. We got this job set up and it’s going to be a beautiful 6’ tall dog ear cedar privacy fence. We can wait to show the finished results when we stop back next week to button it up.
