We get some questions about air chutes so let’s do a little Q & A.
Q : What is the purpose of using them?
A : Multiple different reasons depending on the kind of air chutes being installed
1.) Prevents blow in insulation from ending up in your soffits
2.) Keeps the surface temperatures of the roof/ shingles lower
3.) Allows the roof to have more air movement
Q: Does every roof need them ?
A : No, full hot roof applications do not require air chutes because it creates a fully conditioned space
