Greenlife is going to do a kids pumpkin growing contest this summer. We will be ordering the seeds shortly and will announce contest rules and entry within the next couple weeks. Fun family activity for the summer. Free entry and prizes for top 3. If there is any interest in an adult division where we can do a winner takes all entry fees let us know.

Plant Tip Tuesday

Always water plants with water 63 to 68 degrees if possible. Dissolved oxygen, what your plant roots need, is a lot less concentrated in water above 70 degrees. It slows their vigor because its harder to work when their roots cant breathe. Watering at night or before dark allows the water in the pot to warm up. Losing the amount of oxygen it holds with every degree. So for plants, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
