Had this antique industrial drafting stool for the last 50 years and it’s seen better days! You know what that means—weekend refurbishing project! Bottom of legs were pretty chewed up so I got some cross sawn oak pieces, used some wood glue and clamps, a band saw and a lot of sanding to reshape the legs. A little stain and varnish and looks brand new! Just need to recover the seat. Such a rewarding project!

So satisfying to restore my wife’s mother’s old drafting table from the 50’s. Betty was a fine artist and also a draftsman creating topographical maps by hand for the oil and gas industry in Texas.
Sandy had the old table shipped here and I took it apart to completely restore it. Now it sits in Sandy’s office already with a few interiors projects on it! Anyone who knows me knows I love a good project!

Looking back at an estate in Bountiful I did about 25 years ago, a 28,000 SF Scottish Baronial manor styled after the castles of Edinburgh. I recently had the pleasure of designing a 4500 SF guest house to match the original architecture, complete with a 10 car underground garage and we are now embarking on a kitchen/media room remodel in the main house. Love how timeless architecture is always in style and how we have been able to breathe new life into the home as the owner’s needs have evolved.
