I love giving solid wood furniture a fresh new life! There’s something so satisfying about removing those old orange-toned finishes and revealing the beautiful natural wood grain underneath. Whether it’s a soft natural finish or a custom stain, each piece gets a whole new look while letting its character shine through.

I love a good before & after! This plain old pine nightstand was nothing special, but with a little vision, paint, fabric, and new hardware, it got a whole new life. Now it’s right at home in a beautiful coastal-themed lake cottage!

It’s amazing what a little creativity can do to transform a piece from ordinary to one-of-a-kind. 💙

This piece had a very strong pink/red tone that just wasn’t working with the look I wanted. Instead of covering up the beautiful wood grain, I decided to bleach it to lighten and neutralize the color.

After two applications of my fav wood bleach, the difference is incredible! The red tones are dramatically reduced, leaving behind a much softer, more natural wood color while still showcasing all of the gorgeous maple grain.

Bleaching wood can be a great option when you love the character of a piece but want a lighter, more updated look. Stay tuned for this finished makeover!

I love a good before-and-after! 💙 This plain desk got a whole new look with a gorgeous soft blue finish and a natural wood stained top. I gave the original hardware a refresh and painted it gold for the perfect glam touch.

🌿This little tool is a game changer! A carbide scraper removes an old finish quickly, saves sanding time, and helps get down to clean wood without being overly aggressive when used correctly!

Should I keep it a natural wood tone with black hardware for a clean modern look, or go with a darker stain like Provincial with bronze hardware for a warm, timeless feel?

I am obsessed with how my little weekend project turned out! 🤍

I’ve been wanting a beautiful orchid centerpiece for my kitchen island forever… but keeping them alive is not my strong suit 😅
