Congratulations Chris on your Oscar win! "The Singers" won an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film. It's a wonderful film with an amazing cast of talented singers. Well worth a watch on Netflix.

Patty Larkin has been a long time favorite guitar player, songwriter and performer of mine for so long I can't remember, but I do remember her 1999 album "A Gogo" playing nonstop in my CD player when it first came out, and it's still one of my all time favorites.

I was thrilled to hear from Patty last year that she had been touring with her LizardEye, and I had the chance to see her Friday night for a wonderful show at the Groton Hill Music Center. The sound was amazing.

I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Chris Smither and The Motivators at the Iron Horse in November. Excellent show with some very talented musicians. It's always a great thrill and a huge honor to see the LizardEye in the hands of Chris.

Many thanks to Goody and Van Easton for sharing photos of your west coast tour. Each post brightened my day.

Last fall Chris Smither told me that he was having trouble wrapping his thumb over the top of the neck to fret the low E string as he often does, and he asked if I could shave the neck down a bit. I took some careful measurements, made templates of the "before" profile to track the progress, took a big deep breath and went at it.

I took the overall depth down a bit and gave the neck a modified-V shape to give the thumb, as well as the rest of the fingers a little more reach around the neck. Chris was thrilled with the outcome and took the LizardEye on his west coast tour with The Motivators.

It's been quite a while since I've posted anything on social media, but LizardEye has a lot to celebrate from 2025. I'll be posting more on that later.

Here is what's coming up for 2026. I have two OO sized, 12 fret non-cutaways, one 12 fret OM/OOO sized cutaway and one 14 fret OM/OOO cutaway which will be completed this year. Please stay tuned for more details and build updates.
