I had the pleasure of working with a repeat customer on this custom staircase nook transformation.

They had a vision for this space and wanted to take advantage of the natural bump-out in the wall. We brought it to life with shiplap on the bump out and three custom floating shelves, turning an unused area into a beautiful feature of the home.

Projects like this are some of my favorites. I enjoy taking an idea from a conversation, visualizing it, and then building it with my hands. Like most craftsmen, I’m always my toughest critic, but seeing how excited my customers are when they see the finished product makes it all worth it.

Just wrapped up this beautiful project for some customers relocating from Kansas to Apex.

They trusted me with their vision, handed over the keys, and I got to work the day they left. Every detail was done with care to make sure everything came together exactly right.

From the waterfall countertops to the custom oak floating shelves with integrated lighting, this one turned out exactly how they envisioned. Seeing their reaction when they walked in made it all worthwhile.

Looking forward to tackling their bathroom next.

Have you checked your shower lately?

I looked at a 2-year-old shower this morning and found an issue that could’ve turned into a big problem. The builder used grout where the floor meets the walls this area should be a type of silicone. Grout can crack, but silicone flexes and keeps water out.

I removed the grout in those joints and replaced it with color-matched silicone to prevent leaks behind the tile.

Quick tip:• Check for cracked grout• Look at corners and edges for gaps• Make sure seals aren’t peeling or separating

Small issues now can turn into expensive repairs later. Stay ahead of it.

Wrapped up a nice simple backsplash install for a customer who just bought her home. She wanted something just behind the stove nothing over the top, just a clean and functional space that’s easy to wipe down when cooking.

Sometimes it’s not about going big, it’s about making the space work better for everyday life. This turned out exactly how she needed its simple, practical, and sharp looking.
