Actors, Lizabeth Scott and Don DeFore, worked with Robert Byrd on their homes. Don DeFore hired Byrd to design his pool and pool house. Lizabeth Scott hired Byrd to update and maintain the integrity of her Byrd home. Byrd was always accessible and just a phone call away.

The new fall 2023 issue of Toluca Lake Magazine has just been published. It features an article I wrote about two beautiful homes Robert Byrd designed and built in Toluca Lake. One residence is the former home of Paul Henning, and his wife, Ruth. Paul Henning wrote and produced two popular TV series, The Beverly Hillbillies and Petticoat Junction. The other home was the former residence of actor and WWII hero, Audie Murphy. This is part of their annual History issue. If you live in the San Fernando Valley, please pick up a copy.
