How awesome would this mobile bar be at your next football party? It is made with distressed copper, reclaimed lumber and an antique wheelbarrow wheel. Message me if you're interested.

Ok folks, here it is! I'm delighted to announce that Morgan Freeman, yes you heard right.... The Morgan Freeman, gave me a little shout out. The audio is not the best ( that one's on me) so maybe we can get him back sometime. In the meantime, turn up your volume and enjoy!

Here are some before and after pictures of a farm house table and bench that I built for Drew and Christy Flanigan. For the materials I chose some wide, oak flooring that I salvaged out of my parents home prior to a renovation. I really liked how they showed the circular saw marks. The legs were milled from salvaged electrical braces. All the joints are mortise/ tenon and were adhered with fiberglass resin. Finally I pegged all the joints with "copper" nails (salvaged #4 ground wire) to help secure the joints, which also added a nice look to the finish. The finish is a lite ebony stain with a clear coat finish.
Thanks guys for letting me build this for you!

I'm facing an unusual scenario here at The Ivey Court. Probably for the first time ever I have a small inventory of tables (I say this because I usually can not keep items in stock). I have a few projects coming up and I'd love to free up a little shop space. Shoot me a message if you see something you like. I'll even throw in a free "Save The Wood" T-shirt with your purchase.

I had the idea of building a beverage cart for some time, but wanted to come up with something that could be moved fairly easy. Sometimes it is the simple things in life, such as a common wheelbarrow, that spurs the imagination. The trays are framed with salvaged black walnut (custom cut by my brother in law) and feature copper tops that I put a baking soda/ vinegar/ ammonia/ magic wash to enrich their patina. The legs were milled from reclaimed electrical braces and are attached to the trays with hand cut, interlocking half bridal joints helping to strengthen the entire unit.

I recently had the opportunity to transform a gun cabinet into a wine/ liquor bar. At first I was a little unsure about the idea. It was a well built piece, mostly out of quarter sawn oak, and still had the original label on the back. I finished out the inside of the case with a custom shop made ebony stain, added some 1/4 sawn oak/ copper shelves, and some wire rods for the wine racks. All the thanks goes to Cecil Holmes Photography for the awesome pics!
