Louis we relocated to Georgia and then settled in Honea Path, SC. Not quite "Gods" country....but it works for us. Honea Path is and hour+ from the Smokey Mountains and several hours from the beach. It is a great place for weary traveling friends to stop off a bit. We invite our friends to come for a visit.

Paul and I have different opinions on how to handle the garden. One of them is weeds. I usually spend one weekend day hoeing the weeds in hopes of slowing them down but spending a whole day every week is not sustainable. Paul on the other hand just lets them grow and plants have to fight for space and nutrients. Which way is the best? Maybe a mixture of both but all I know is we need to have a better gardening plan for next year.

The Jack Thuneman Memorial Fire Pit V6.0.

Due to security issues with the chickens (we have lost a bunch since Easter), we have decided to relocate the coop/run back to a place where we can fence them in most of the time. They will still be able to free range in their fenced in yard and sometimes outside the line. So, moving the coop and run back to where we had the fire pit. Also had to move the compost as well.

I hope this is the last time I have to move the fire pit. I think it’s in a good place…for now.

We used to buy ferns for years. Then we realized that they grow for free in our dry creek area in the woods.

Today was our fern hunt. Kathy did a great job planting them. Now they are hung and ready for the miracle grow!

Kathy will be shortening those shrubs soon enough.
