Many are getting on the band wagon and expressing their desire to turn lawns into food. Honolulu residents are participating in Mahina Pua Farm's CSA and food growing opportunities by trading their lawns for a place to grow food for people in their area. In turn, they receive a weekly share of fresh cut produce brought less than 6 miles from their homes. This lessens our reliance on imported food

from the main land and reduces our carbon foot print and keeps our environment and oceans beautiful for everyone to enjoy.

Mahina Pua Farm is an .5-acre farm located in Waimanalo. We grow a variety of vegetables such as greens, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, beets and other roots. We primarily market our products directly to farmers markets, and families through our website.

Looking for an energetic, fit person who is detail oriented with a good memory to help with farm tasks on a 1/2 acre organic farm on Oahu. Experience in outdoor labor required. Knowledge with farm tools preferred (ex. w**d wacker, cultivator, tiller). W**d and vegetable identification ideal.

You will harvest on Fridays
Sell at market on Saturdays
And another day of w**ding and bed prep.

10-20 hours a week (1-2 days). Possibility of an increase in hours and days for the right person. 7:30am to 2 pm range. Must have vehicle and drivers license and be able to get to Waimanalo by 7:30am.
