Life is about inspiring others and making the world a little better.
I wanted to post this because maybe one day these kids will grow up, have a phone, and come across this video. I hope that one day we meet again, and I get to see how much their lives have changed.
Iām just a girl from a small village in Central Vietnam, a region known for poverty and natural disasters. My parents worked incredibly hard to give us a better life than many families around us. Even so, I always felt there was a bigger world waiting beyond our village.
When I was little, my mom would take me to Vinh City whenever I received an award at school. It was her way of celebrating and showing how proud she was. To me, Vinh felt huge, modern, and full of opportunities. It inspired me to dream bigger.
At 14, I passed the entrance exam to attend a gifted high school in Vinh, even though it meant leaving home and living on my own at such a young age.
Later, I had the chance to visit Hanoi. I experienced new places, amazing food, and a completely different world. That trip motivated me to aim higher. I wanted to study in Hanoi, and not just at any university. I worked hard to get into one of the top business schools in Vietnam because I understood how important education could be in changing a personās future.
That decision opened doors to incredible friendships, opportunities, and experiences that still impact my life today. Because of education and the opportunities that came with it, Iāve been able to build a successful life and help many people along the way.
I shared my story with these kids because I want them to know that where they start does not determine where they can go. I hope they chase education, explore the world beyond their village, build better lives for themselves, and one day return to help the communities they came from.
Iām grateful for the life I have today. It came from hard work, but also from the kindness of many people who guided, supported, and believed in me along the way.
So whenever I can, I try to pass that kindness forward.
