Annnnnnd we’re back!

My husband has been wanting to get more organized and asking if I’d make him a calendar/command center type organizational helper and this is what we came up with! Not necessarily difficult, just tedious. Minor things I would do differently, but overall it’s not so bad.

So we took a little extended break. Reconnected with the family, spent some quality time together. And I’m more than happy to give myself that grace. My babies will only be babies for a VERY short time.

Made this adorable cutting board! Unfortunately I did not follow the “measure twice, cut once” rule and we went a little over the edge. But that’s okay, lessons are great things to learn!

Also learned I AM NOT a good bow maker. Despite being a cheerleader for 20+ years. 🥴🙃 so that’ll be next on the list of things to practice 🤣🤣

WHEWWWWWW!! This was a doozy of a 12 layer project! Total cut time was around 6 hours 😮‍💨 but so worth it! Learning a lot. There’s some charring I’d like to get rid of, but overall for a 2 day project…I’m pretty pleased 😊

Day 12 I took my first “rest day”, which even though it was only 12 days in I was very proud of making it this far with no stopping!!

Day 13 we decided go big or go home! Well, it’s VERY big. 🤣🤣 the first cut took almost 2 hours and we have 2 more to go. I’m super excited for this one! It’ll be done tomorrow! And I know I don’t need to justify to anyone, but technically my resolution was to craft every day, not COMPLETE a craft every day. So it’s still a win! 😊

Another “failed” attempt. The pieces all came out fine, but the base and lid I cut out the inserts the incorrect size, therefore I couldn’t actually assemble it. However, IF it were put together it would look something like this. 🤣🤣 definitely attempting this one again!

**Our first BUST**

I wasn’t originally going to post this one because it was my first “failed” craft of 2025, but I decided I should show all my attempts, not just the good ones.

This was supposed to be a layered skull however the very top layer not only did I snap a piece, I also scaled it too small so it didn’t fit with the rest of the project. Now I could have just stopped with the first 3 layers, but I felt that would be cheating myself. So here’s a look at my attempt at day #5!
