In spring the leaves are yellow-green, edged in red, turning bright-green as they develop. In fall they become a gorgeous golden-yellow, before falling to reveal bark of a stunning coral-pink that will brighten any garden all winter long. The coral-colored winter bark is a special and unique feature of this tree, making it highly desirable and coveted.
Fireglow - Very fast growing tree and loves full sun with some shade. It stays a great red all season and the sun really gives it a fiery appearance. It turns purplish red in the fall. 10 to 12 feet.
Tamukeyama - This semi dwarf Maple known for its red lace leaf appearance. It will create a lovely dome as time goes by and will be wider than it will be tall. It’s a very popular tree with its weeping properties. Japanese maples can be difficult in hot areas and good selection is the key. Even in hot and humid regions the Tamukeyama Japanese Maple is resistant to the browning and drying of foliage that can be a problem with other varieties. It will grow extremely well almost all over the country, but it is an especially good choice for southern regions because of outstanding heat resistance. It stays small enough for any garden or even for a container. A typical container height is 4-6ft and a landscape height 7- 8ft. Its cascading foliage will keep its rich shades of purple and red color all summer long and turn a fiery red and orange in the fall. This tree is one of the fastest growing in its class, so . if you want a Japanese maple in a hurry the Tamukeyama Japanese Maple is the tree for you.
BloodGood- The leaves are a deep purple-red throughout the growing season then change a beautiful dark crimson in the fall. This outstanding cultivar grows thin-textured leaves that at times look translucent and glow in the sunlight. Exceptionally hardy!!! This tree does well in full sun with some shade. 20 to 25 feet tall 12 to 15 feet wide mature.
Shin Deshojo - One of our favorites out of all the maples, Shindeshojo is a medium sized maple to 8 feet. This Acer palmatum cultivar has the most brilliant red spring color of all maples! Place Shindeshojo next to a green maple and it is a total knockout! New growth on Shindeshojo is flaming scarlet or fire-engine red that holds for several months, gradually changing through mottled red to green in summer. A very nice classy maple. Full size will be about 8' H by 10' wide.
